Texas Team Trail Heads to Lake Texoma

Record payouts, exceptional fishing expected for fourth TXTT event of 2016

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla.– The Texas Team Trail (TXTT) presented by Cabela’s will host its final regular-season event of the 2016 tournament season on Saturday, April 16, at Lake Texoma. The fishery straddles the Texas/Oklahoma border and offers anglers great opportunities for big bass.

Registration for the event is already underway – anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish Friday, April 15, by completing their registration online or via phone prior to midnight on Thursday, April 14. Additionally, all anglers that pre-register online at www.texasteamtrail.com will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Cabela’s gift card. Due to the size of the lake, TXTT will be capping registration for the event at 250 teams.

The Lake Texoma event is the last of four 2016 qualifying events that guarantee a fully rigged, 18-foot boat, motor, trailer package as first-place prize. The winning anglers at Lake Texoma will walk away with a brand-new Stratos 189 VLO powered by an Evinrude 150 HO, valued at $30,000.

In addition to the payout, the event offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of sponsor bonuses and television coverage. The budget-friendly $250 entry fee, plus multiple contingency programs and a guaranteed, over-100% payback at every event provides tremendous value to the weekend angler.

Off-site registration is set for Friday, April 15, from 4-6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites Denison (3415 Ansley Blvd., Denison, TX 75020). At least one team member must attend, as boat numbers will be assigned during this time. The tournament will launch Saturday, April 16, at safe light from the Lake Texoma spillway boat ramp (Intersection of FM 1310 and US Hwy. 91) with teams returning to the ramp for the weigh-in. Anglers are encouraged to travel via FM 84 to FM 1310 for access to this area due to a recent road closure of Hwy. 91 south of the dam.
