The Bass Federation Continues Partnership with the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series

By Cody Levy

SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) is proud to announce that the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series will continue to partner with The Bass Federation, an organization dedicated to support the grassroots growth of fishing along with the entirety of the sport.

Working closely with the Cabela’s Collegiate Bass Fishing Series for now 11 years, The Bass Federation has been an integral part of growing collegiate fishing with the longest running collegiate bass fishing series. Aimed at providing collegiate anglers with opportunities to grow in the sport, The Bass Federation offers collegiate anglers a membership that will provide a list of benefits including tournament insurance coverage, a chance to fish the TBF and FLW Championship, and the option to compete in various TBF Events throughout your membership duration.

“When Wade and I and a few other folks sat down in San Antonio just 11 short years ago and founded the ACA we knew it could be the springboard that would take the local college fishing groups that our TBF state federation’s had been nurturing at the local level for many years and give them a program that could propel college fishing off the ground nationwide and I believe the ACA has done exactly that,” stated Robert Cartlidge, President of The Bass Federation (TBF).  “Its success is a direct result of three main things: the parents and federation members who support these college anglers passion at home and instill in them a love for the outdoors, a dedicated sponsor group that shares in the ACA’s vision, and the countless hours of work and dedication that Wade Middleton and his people put into the ACA, along with the grassroots/logistical support that TBF has provided. Because of the foundational success that the ACA provided, many other college programs have sprung up across the nation, which has been great for the anglers and the future of our sport. TBF is honored to be a small part of that.”

“The Bass Federation has really been a strong force in tournament fishing for a very long time and has been great to see how invested they are in growing the sport in the college and high school levels as well,” said Wade Middleton, Director of the Association of Collegiate Anglers and President of CarecoTV. “We are proud to be partnered with The Bass Federation and look forward to many years of working together to grow the sport of bass fishing.”
