BASS AND BIRDIES CLASSIC
Presented by ICAST and Florida Sportsman
July 12th, 2016 (Orlando, Florida) – ICAST 2016 Kicked off this morning with their annual Bass and Birdies Classic tournament. The third annual golf/fishing tournament, is held the day before the show floor opens. This is a Scramble-Best Ball format, meaning teams of four players hit each shot and the best shot is selected. The three other players retrieve their balls and hit from the best position, and the same until the ball is holed out. This unique golf-and-fishing event is open to ASA members and registered ICAST attendees. A portion of the proceeds goes to support Keep America Fishing.
The winners of this years Bass and Birdies Classic consisted of Wade Middleton, President of Careco TV, Clark Wendlandt, FLW tour angler and host of Fishing and Hunting Texas, Scott Wendlandt, videographer of Fishing and Hunting Texas and Wendlandt Outfitters, and Rusty Trancygier, FLW tour angler.
Outside of working in the fishing industry, these gentleman can sure play some golf. This team tied with first place; however, Clark Wendlandt broke the tie with a 12 inch bass.
