By now, hopefully you all have recovered from the holidays and the closing of deer season! Here at Americana Outdoors, the adventures never end – we went from deer season, to the holidays, then our annual youth hunt, and then a new one for me….Ice Fishing in Minnesota! And let me tell you, it was a blast! My Oklahoma-Texas blood adapted well to the sub-zero temps, with thanks to Gill outerwear, Cabela’s boots, Garmin’s PanOptix, and a good guide in Lake Commando’s Steve Pennaz. I’ll be back up there next year!
Leaving the super-cold temps, we headed back to Texas for the beginning of Tournament season. In this issue, you’ll get a recap of the Texas Team Trail tournament on Sam Rayburn Reservoir, as well as the inaugural collegiate Texas Lunker Challenge presented by Mossy Oak event! Both great tournament trails that do a lot for bass fishing – be sure to check them out!
