Big-Time Performance at a Small-Time Price
FLIPPIN, Ark. – New for 2017, Ranger® Boats delivers a tournament-inspired fiberglass boat at an incredible value with the introduction of the all-new Z185. The Z185 delivers unparalleled fit and finish for recreational anglers and sets itself apart from other entry-level boats with a long list of premium, factory-installed standard equipment.
Measuring 18 feet, 8 inches, the new Ranger Z185 is rated for 150 horsepower and is available with a wide range of outboard brands. The boat’s size is ideal for storage in most garages and can be easily managed by smaller tow vehicles. The 96-inch beam provides exceptional stability and plenty of deck space, which features a multitude of lockable storage options.
“The Z185 fits a niche in the market that’s always been very popular,” said Ranger Boats Director of Product Development Lance Newton. “It’s an ideal size for many anglers, and our new Z185 offers a host of features not usually seen on a boat in this price range. It’s really a great fit for an aspiring tournament angler or anyone looking for a fully featured boat that’s easy to own, tow and stow.”
The massive front casting deck features a center rod locker that accepts rods up to eight feet in length and features an integrated tackle storage system. Additional rod storage located on the port side fits even more rods up to 7 feet, 6 inches. The front deck also features a recessed trolling motor foot pedal with tool storage, offset bow panel with room for mounting large-screen electronics and stainless steel compression locks to keep lids in place.
