Sam Rayburn Reservoir and Texas Team Trail on “Outdoor Action TV”
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL – Spring 2019 brought high waters to Texas Team Trail events, and a first-ever opportunity – a double-header to Sam Rayburn Reservoir and this East Texas powerhouse.
With record high lake levels in February — more than 10 feet above normal pool of 164.40 feet — the first Texas Team Trail event at Sam Rayburn was postponed to May. Thus creating two back-to-back opportunities to compete for a brand new Triton 189TRX with 150HP Mercury motor. As anglers from across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and beyond converged on Sam Rayburn, so did our camera crews. You can see this coverage from both events NOW!

Event #1: May 10th — TXTT & Sam Rayburn Reservoir
This event was one for the record books as a massive thunderstorm hits Sam Rayburn dropping softball-sized hail on boats and trucks during registration. However, this doesn’t deter dedicated anglers from getting out on Sam Rayburn the next morning to stand up to the elements and compete for a new Triton Boat with Mercury motor, as well as cash prizes and contingency opportunities!
Event #2: May 11th — TXTT & Sam Rayburn Reservoir
For the first time, the Texas Team Trail had back-to-back qualifying events at Sam Rayburn Reservoir to wrap up the regular season. With an ominous weather forecast join us as teams navigate through heavy storms and high waters on the last qualifying event of the 2019 season and see who will take over the lead of the Lucas Oil Team of the year and find out will it be won shallow or deep.
