Texas Team Trail Host Back-to-Back Tournaments on Sam Rayburn
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – The Texas Team Trail (TXTT) presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s will host the final two regular-season events for 2019 at Sam Rayburn May 10-11. Originally slated for February 2, the first event on Sam Rayburn was rescheduled due to anticipated flooding and angler safety. The back-to-back events allow anglers to close out the regular season at the same venue, providing minimal travel expenses and associated costs.
Registration for the both events is already underway – anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish Thursday, May 9 or Friday, May 10, by completing their registration online or via phone prior to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8. Additionally, all anglers that pre-register online at www.texasteamtrail.com will be entered into a drawing for a $100 Bass Pro Shops gift card.
On-site registration for the first event will be 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Umphrey Pavilion (5438 RR 255 West, Sam Rayburn, TX 75951). Anglers who are only fishing the second Rayburn event can register on site Friday, May 9, after the weigh in has concluded at Umphrey Pavilion. At least one team member must attend, as boat numbers will be assigned during these times.
The Sam Rayburn events are the final two regular-season events of four 2019 qualifying events that guarantee a fully rigged, 18-foot boat, motor, trailer package as first-place prize. The winning anglers for the first Sam Rayburn event will walk away with a brand-new Triton 189TRX powered by a 150HP Mercury, valued at $31,995. Winners of the second Sam Rayburn event will take home a brand new Nitro Z18 w/Mercury 150 valued at $30,905.
In addition to the payout, the event offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of sponsor bonuses and television coverage. The budget-friendly $250 entry fee, plus multiple contingency programs and a guaranteed, over-100 percent payback at every event provides tremendous value to the weekend angler.
Both events will launch at safe light from the Umphrey Pavilion with each day’s weigh-ins set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
